Job summary

Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, in Evansville, IN, is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Engineering Designer to independently develop, coordinate, and lead design efforts for mining, heavy civil, and industrial projects.

You will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Advanced Steel to create site layouts, grading plans, drainage and construction drawings, and fabrication details while guiding junior designers and ensuring adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of civil/structural design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and/or Advanced Steel.
• Experience with structural steel detailing and reinforced concrete detailing.
• Experience in mining, tunneling, or heavy industrial infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead civil and structural design packages for mining, heavy civil and industrial projects.
• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, access roads, drainage plans, and construction drawings.
• Develop detailed steel and concrete construction drawings and fabrication packages.
• Create and review structural steel models, connection details, reinforced concrete detailing, and construction sequencing layouts.
• Coordinate designs with engineers, project managers, clients, vendors, and construction personnel.
• Lead CAD modeling and drawing production while enforcing standards.
• Mentor junior designers and ensure quality and schedule performance.
• Support field investigations, site visits, and construction activities as required.
