Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Principal Engineer - Civil/Structural to support the development and execution of combined cycle power projects. You will interpret, organize, and coordinate engineering aspects, lead design teams, and own capital estimates to meet scope and budget.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree with 13–15 years (or 17–19 years total) of relevant experience, including self-performing CC projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience or 17–19 years total experience.
• Ten years minimum experience with self perform Combined Cycle projects.
• Advanced contributor and subject matter expert in civil/structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts independent scope of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design.
• Oversee design, development, modification and evaluation of Civil/Structural components.
• Review key design documents, drawings, materials and change orders.
• Develop conceptual designs for projects with specialized requirements.
• Prepare discipline estimates and work plans aligned with scope, schedule and budget.
