Job summary

thyssenkrupp Uhde USA seeks a seasoned Civil Structural Engineer to lead the execution of structural design for major chemical plant projects in North America. You will interact with engineers and designers, provide technical direction, and ensure compliance with tk Uhde standards and project goals.

The role requires a PE license, 18+ years of experience in heavy industrial structures, and the ability to work independently within a strong matrix team.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil or Structural Engineering with emphasis on structural steel and concrete design.
• 18+ years minimum civil structural engineering experience in the industry.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
• Ability to operate as Designated Professional (or similar depending on jurisdiction).
• Experience in power, petrochemical, heavy industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural engineering and design documents per project budget, schedule and quality.
• Serve as a technical resource within a matrix organization and guide project team members.
• Seal contract documents for foundations, piling, anchor bolts, and structural layouts as required.
• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work for multiple projects.
• Review procedures to ensure compliance with policies and performance measures.
• Assist in supervising design drawings, calculations, and specifications for complexStructural systems.
