• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA is desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
• Expertise in structural analysis software.
• In-depth knowledge ofSouth African building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of civil projects including bridges and buildings.
• Perform complex structural analyses and design calculations with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or ETABS.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specs and reports per relevant codes (SANS 10160, SANS 10100).
• Review designs prepared by other engineers to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural and project management teams via digital platforms.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance.
• Manage project timelines and remote delivery efficiencies.
• Contribute to tender preparation and proposal development.
• Undertake site visits as required, while role remains primarily remote.

• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., SANS 10160, SANS 10100).
• Conduct thorough reviews of designs prepared by other engineers to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical engineers, architects, and project managers, via digital platforms.

Requirements
