Job summary

Novetus Engineering LLC, based in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced CAD drafter/engineer to produce design packages, detailed drawings, and BOMs for marine and hydrocarbon facilities. You will use AutoCAD, CADWorx and Civil 3D to develop layouts, verify standards compliance, and assist field surveys.

The role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and project leadership for small to medium projects, with opportunities to contribute to high-impact industrial designs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience preferred.
• AutoCAD experience required.
• CAD Worx experience required.
• Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Field experience required.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry required.
• Small/Medium project lead experience required.
• Large project lead experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages including calculations.
• Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies with projections and specs.
• Interpret direction to initiate preliminary designs.
• Perform sizing and load calculations for foundations and simple-span beams.
• Check drawings for project applicability and accuracy.
• Prepare BOMs and specifications when drawings are complete and revise as needed.
• Implement revisions and change control per company standards.
• Assemble information from multiple sources and support proposals with CAD layouts.
