Job summary

Perc Engineering Co., Inc. is seeking a senior Civil/Structural Designer for a Houston, TX based, full-time role focused on onshore plants, pipelines and offshore facilities. Candidates must have direct AutoCAD experience and cross‑CAD proficiency.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, ability to work with engineering teams, and strong client communication. Proficiency with AutoCAD, CADworxs and Civil 3D is highly preferred, plus Excel data handling and strict drafting standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in onshore/offshore civil/structural design and drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and CADworxs; able to export DWF and PDF.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a major plus.
• Strong MS Excel skills for data and reporting.
• Solid communication with clients, designers and management.

Job description

This is a Houston, TX based full time position in the field of onshore plants, onshore pipelines and offshore facilities. Candidate must have direct experience in Civil/Structural Design using AutoCAD, and must be knowledgeable across multiple design/CAD applications.

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Possesses minimum 10 years’ experience.
• Work both independently and alongside engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design.
• Demonstrate expertise in various design technologies; AutoCAD (2D) and CADworxs. Ability to create DWF and PDF files from work product.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3-D is a major plus.
• Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain project directories and version control.
• Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
• Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensuring that all is done in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.
• Ability to create and manipulate MS Excel files.
• Solid communications skills and ability to interreact direct with clients, piping designers, junior drafters and upper management.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Degree preferred, namely in Engineering design. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years’ experience in onshore/offshore civil/structural design and drafting.
