Job summary

Pinpoint Precision Engineering in Illinois is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead construction management on highway and roadway projects. You will ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and mentorship of junior engineers.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 5+ years of inspection experience. You will coordinate with contractors, review submittals, and liaise with clients and subconsultants to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of inspection experience on bridge/highway projects.
• Documentation of Quantities Certification is a plus.
• Strong communication, and ability to read contract documents and specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise highway and roadway construction inspections.
• Maintain project records and reports.
• Plan, coordinate with contractors and manage change orders.
• Serve as primary client and subconsultant contact.
• Monitor progress and report delays to Project Manager.
• Mentor field engineers and oversee junior staff.
• Ensure adherence to IDOT/CDOT/Tollway standards.
