Job summary

ROWE Professional Services Company in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for the Construction Services Division. You will lead a diverse team on MDOT and municipal projects, driving proposals, scopes, budgets and schedules end-to-end.

You will oversee safety, technical quality and client communications, coordinating with design, survey and field staff. This role blends remote and on-site work to deliver impactful infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Michigan Professional Engineer License.
• MDOT construction experience and local agency requirements.
• Experience with road, bridge, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main construction.
• Experience with a wide range of construction projects for MDOT and non-MDOT clients.
• Understanding SESC reporting requirements.
• Experience with construction management software (AASHTOware, ProjectWise, etc).
• Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and teams.
• Strong attention to detail and communication with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals, reports, and project plans.
• Monitor the safety of staff on projects.
• Manage and inspect multiple projects at various locations in the state.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to meet project specifications.
• Represent clients at public and project meetings.
• Develop and manage work scopes, budgets, schedules and staff assignments.
• Direct engineering tasks, providing quality control of project deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and performance and implement corrective action plans.
• Apply specialized technical expertise on roadway, water main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer projects for MDOT and municipal clients.
• Interact with other disciplines (design and survey).
• Provide direction, supervision and support to junior staff.
