Job summary

SCJ Alliance is seeking a senior-level civil engineer with project management experience to lead and oversee diverse civil projects in Lacey, WA. You will guide conception through completion, supervise staff, coordinate with clients, and ensure successful execution of educational campuses, municipal infrastructure, and transportation work.

The role emphasizes leadership, proactive problem-solving, and delivery of high-quality, community-focused design.

Qualifications

• PE license and a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client service skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
• A passion for serving others and pride in producing high-quality, community-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: establish objectives, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Work Plan Execution: create and implement project work plans.
• Operational Oversight: manage daily operations across scopes of work.
• Client Relationship Management: build and sustain client relationships.
• Meeting Facilitation: lead meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Team Supervision: supervise CAD staff and project personnel.
• Documentation: maintain all project documentation from start to finish.
• Budget Management: track and manage project budgets for profitability.
• Business Development: pursue new opportunities with clients.
• Proposal & Interview Support: contribute to proposals and presentations.
• Contract Oversight: manage contract financials to protect interests.
• QA/QC: provide QA/QC and peer reviews for calculations and designs.
