Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc. in California seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering and land development projects from planning through construction, ensuring schedules, budgets, contracts, and fee proposals are tracked and delivered.

You will oversee bid packages, engage with regulatory agencies, mentor staff, and drive business development through client meetings and project opportunities. A CA PE license and extensive leadership in land development are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
• Active California PE license required.
• Minimum 15 years civil engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading teams.
• Experience managing land development projects from planning to construction.
• Strong knowledge of California permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development projects from planning through construction completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, scopes of work, and fee proposals.
• Oversee bid package preparation, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate construction support activities, field observations, and project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in recruiting and performance development.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
