Job summary

Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction in Chicago seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join our Civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of civil engineering design experience specific to transportation and roadways with clients such as IDOT, CDOT, Illinois Tollway and local municipalities.

We value strong technical leadership with Microstation and Open Roads Designer experience, leading teams and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of successful project experience in civil design.
• Proficiency in Microstation is required.
• Open Roads Designer experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Illinois DOT/ Tollway design standards preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing analysis and design calculations per design standards.
• Preparing technical reports, plans, specs and cost estimates.
• Mentoring junior staff in technical and project development.
• Coordinating with clients, subconsultants and other disciplines.
