Job summary

Passero Associates is seeking a Civil Project Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer to join our Newburgh, NY office. The role focuses on municipal, private development, K-12, and public infrastructure projects with independent design responsibilities and leadership of junior staff.

The candidate will develop grading and drainage plans, perform hydrology/hydraulic analyses, prepare construction documents, and coordinate with clients and agencies to advance projects through bidding and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY or able to obtain within 12 months.
• 5–12 years of civil/site design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for surface modeling, grading, pipe networks, plan production.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering design documents from concept through final design and construction.
• Lead site grading and drainage design and related analyses.
• Prepare construction plan sets, technical reports, specs, and bid documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and client/regulatory agencies.
• Provide construction administration and mentorship to junior staff.
