Job summary

Passero Associates is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our St. Augustine, FL office. You will plan, design, and support site development, municipal, and airport infrastructure projects across the Southeast, handling grading, drainage, utilities, and cost estimates.

The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of progressive consulting experience and may take on task leadership and project management from concept through closeout. Ability to report to St. Augustine, FL office is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program preferred.
• 6-10 years of progressive civil engineering experience; consulting in municipal/site/transportation/aviation preferred.
• Florida PE license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure; EIT required for candidates not yet licensed.
• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge; stormwater/hydraulic modeling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil designs, construction plans, permits, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate design for grading, drainage, utilities, pavement, and related infrastructure.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop and document design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and FAA/municipal criteria and permitting.
• Coordinate work with project teams, clients, agencies, and contractors.
• Lead defined tasks or small projects, manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide technical reviews and quality-control checks.
• Support permit applications and responses to agency comments.
• Provide construction administration and field observation support.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative project team.
