Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Six (6) years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably land development.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee development of construction drawings, specs, and documents.
• Provide civil design services: site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities.
• Support diverse project types: industrial, commercial, residential, mixed-use.
• Design and coordinate paving, drainage, water and wastewater site improvements.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate communication with clients, contractors, architects, and regulators.
• Participate in project marketing, planning, scoping and proposals.
• Manage projects from concept through construction: scope, schedule, budgeting, profitability.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
