Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. in Watertown, MA seeks a Civil Project Engineer to join the Land Engineering team on a hybrid basis. You will work on land development and transportation projects, collaborating across disciplines to design and permit complex sites.

The role requires 5+ years of civil engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency. PE licensing within 12 months is expected.

Qualifications

• Min 5+ years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• MicroStation experience a plus.
• Experience in Massachusetts land development or infrastructure planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering plans and specifications for land development and transportation projects.
• Contribute to design of stormwater management, site layout, grading, utilities, and erosion control.
• Prepare plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation experience is a plus.
• Conduct fieldwork including measurements, observations, and photo documentation.
• Perform engineering analyses and assist in calculations and documentation.
• Coordinate with agencies to obtain development approvals.
