Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for our Dallas or Fort Worth office. You will apply engineering principles to a broad range of land development projects, coordinating with multiple Olsson teams and advising clients on design options.

You will lead design tasks, manage budgets, and occasionally act as project manager on smaller projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 6+ years of experience, and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of related Civil Engineering experience.
• Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Prepares planning and design documents in appropriate engineering discipline.
• Performs process design calculations, prepares cost estimates, and analyzes alternatives.
• Assists with project scope, schedule, budget reviews, and progress reporting.
• Coordinates projects with Olsson teams; directs design tasks and maintains project records.
• Assists with marketing and may help write proposals; may serve as project manager on small projects.
• Independently performs assignments on complex projects; supervises staff where needed.
