TradeLink Solutions Company is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Estimating Director in Nashville, TN to lead the Preconstruction department. You will oversee cost estimates for civil construction projects, guiding bids, value engineering and process improvements.

The role requires 5+ years as a lead estimator and a proven record in heavy civil work. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, with a focus on accuracy and mentorship within the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as lead estimator in civil construction.
• Proven track record estimating heavy civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficient in HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs and docs to prepare detailed estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials and time requirements from proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating templates/tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and drive process improvements.
