Job summary

Skill partners with Aquent to support a prominent organization revolutionizing infrastructure development. We seek a veteran construction project leader to guide multi-million-dollar civil scope projects from inception to completion, including site development, utilities, and concrete work.

You will lead dedicated site teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure excellence in delivery and client satisfaction through strong communication and planning.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in construction project management with civil scope responsibilities.
• 8+ years of experience leading site teams, managing budgets, and steering projects from pre-award through closeout.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple civil scope projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify requirements.
• Delegate tasks based on junior staff strengths, skills, and experience.
• Track performance to ensure achievement of short and long-term goals.
• Use and continually develop leadership skills.
