Job summary

VIP Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a Birmingham, AL firm. Responsibilities include drafting and filing pleadings, drafting complaints, handling e-filing and subpoenas, and gathering case evidence. Strong organization, communication, and computer skills are essential.

Normal hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday. The first-year potential is around $58K plus a full benefits package; 10+ years in civil litigation is preferred and a college background is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the legal field.
• Civil Litigation Paralegal experience preferred.
• HSG/College is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file pleadings and motions.
• Draft complaints and handle e-filing.
• Gather case evidence and documentation; prepare case correspondence.
• Assist with mediations and depositions.
• Assist with discovery requests and other admin tasks.
• Must be organized and meet deadlines; strong computer skills.
