Job Details

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Litigation Attorney with 7+ years of civil litigation experience and demonstrated trial experience.

This role is well suited for an attorney who enjoys taking ownership of sophisticated litigation matters and who is comfortable moving beyond motion practice and discovery into meaningful courtroom advocacy.

Candidates may come from private practice, government, a public-sector legal organization, or another sophisticated litigation environment. The most important qualifications are substantial civil litigation experience, strong legal writing and advocacy skills, and a proven ability to handle trial matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability and exposure
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Prepare matters for hearings, mediation, and trial
• Represent clients in court proceedings and other litigation events
• Work with experts, witnesses, and other professionals
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal analysis
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate
• Take cases through trial when necessary
