Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Melbourne, Florida team. You will lead civil land development projects, oversee design, and coordinate with project managers on plans, drawings and specifications across federal, state, and local programs.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools. Florida licensure is preferred, with ability to obtain licensure in FL if not already held.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• FBPE licensure preferred; able to obtain FL licensure.
• 7–10 years of civil engineering experience; federal/local projects a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform project design and provide direction to junior engineers, CAD designers or technicians.
• Plan and review production of drawings and specifications.
• Plan and review engineering investigations or planning work.
• Develop and evaluate plans for new projects, weighing alternatives for cost effectiveness.
• Analyze technical problems and devise new approaches.
• Prepare cost and manpower estimates, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with project manager and guide junior staff on design and drafting.
