Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
10–14 years of Land Development experience.
Strong technical writing, computing, and communication skills.
AutoCAD proficiency required.
Experience with hydrology modeling software such as HydraFlow, XPSWMM or ICPR.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops plans and drawings, including preliminary layouts and final drawings.
Organizes engineering investigations and planning work with a defined scope.
Reviews shop drawings during construction and maintains progress records.
Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches and site conditions.
Contributes to plans, specifications, permit applications, and reports.
Prepares preliminary man-hour, cost, and material quantity estimates.
Participates in quality control checks and reviews others' designs.
Performs field observations of construction as needed.
May assist in project management duties.
May take on additional duties as directed.
