Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead complex infrastructure schemes and drive successful delivery from mobilisation through handover.

This hands-on role requires commercial awareness and the ability to manage programmes, budgets, forecasts and CVRs, while overseeing procurement, subcontractors and resources, guiding design changes and ensuring RAMS, quality plans and environmental controls are maintained.

Qualifications

• A degree or HND in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Proven experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.
• Sound understanding of construction contracts, ideally NEC.
• Confidence with Microsoft Office, project planning software and cost reporting systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Lead project delivery: Manage civil engineering projects from mobilisation through construction to completion and final handover.
• Take ownership of performance: Manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts and reporting, including cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), identifying issues early and taking action to keep projects on track.
• Manage resources effectively: Oversee the procurement and coordination of plant, labour, materials and subcontractors, ensuring resources are used efficiently and deliver value.
• Influence design and engineering: Interpret technical drawings and client specifications, working closely with designers to resolve technical challenges and inform design changes where required.
• Maintain quality and compliance: Ensure RAMS, quality plans, environmental controls and other project documentation are developed, implemented and maintained.
• Lead commercially: Apply your understanding of contracts, costs and subcontractor performance to protect project outcomes and support sound commercial decisions.
