Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) seeks a Senior Civil Estimator to lead its preconstruction department in Nashville, TN. The role focuses on winning and executing paving and related civil projects through diligent cost estimating and bid leadership.

You will analyze drawings, prepare estimates, solicit subcontractor quotes, and present to senior management. Excellent communication and a track record in civil project bids are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.
