Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in Nashville is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department. You will oversee and present competitive cost estimates for paving projects, influencing bids and project execution.

You will mentor junior estimators, maintain historical data, and develop estimating templates and tools while collaborating with senior management to win bids and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading).
• Proficient in software such as Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Bid-To-Win, AGTEK is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.
