The Recruiting Hive seeks a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department in Nashville, TN. You will oversee, approve, and present competitive cost estimates for paving projects, guiding a growing preconstruction team to win and execute work.

Responsibilities include leading bid processes, analyzing drawings, coordinating with subs, and delivering value engineering. Seniority implies mentoring junior estimators and improving processes; excellent communication and urgency to submit

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record of estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Proficient in necessary software including Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid; AGTEK preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.
