Crisdel Group, Inc. is seeking a Civil Estimator to prepare and submit bids for site prep, underground utilities, highways, bridges, and paving projects in Virginia.

The role emphasizes rigorous analysis of drawings, specs and geotechnical reports, with emphasis on price accuracy and risk assessment. Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering background, 10+ years in field or project estimating, and strong software proficiency (MS Office, HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek, Blue Beam, ProCore).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) or related field.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, specs and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, meeting critical deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office, HCSS Heavy Bid, and project estimation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complete project scope estimates with detailed pricing and bid qualifications.
• Evaluates bidding risks and strategies to increase competitiveness.
• Reviews drawings, specifications and geotechnical data.
• Attends pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Prepares take-offs and estimates for self-perform activities.
• Develops supplier/vendor relationships for best pricing.
