Job summary

Crisdel Group, Inc. is a leading heavy/highway contractor serving markets in NJ, NY, PA, VA and FL. They seek a Sr.

Civil Estimator to prepare and submit bids for site prep, underground utility, highway, bridge and paving projects in New Jersey, leveraging strong analytical and team leadership skills. The Sr. Estimator will work in a modern office with steady hours, coordinating with the estimating team, suppliers and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a field or project engineer or construction estimator.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred), Construction Management, Engineering Technology.
• Must read, analyze, and interpret business documents, technical specs and regulations.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and meet critical deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complete project scope estimates with detailed pricing and bid qualifications from concept to completion.
• Evaluates bidding risks and strategies to increase competitiveness.
• Reviews project docs including drawings, specs, data and addendums.
• Attends pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Prepares take-offs and data for estimates.
• Develops supplier/vendor relationships for best pricing.
• Prepares detailed estimate costs for self-perform work (craft hours, labor, materials, equipment).
• Formulates indirect costs and schedules.
• Ensures timely bid submissions and team review.
