Senior Civil Engineering Manager based in Arlington, VA, with on-site requirement. Lead civil engineering efforts for renewable energy projects, overseeing third‑party consultants and providing in‑house support on land development, permitting, and construction of utility solar arrays.

The role focuses on managing design teams, coordinating with clients and regulators, and ensuring designs meet all codes and project objectives in the Mid‑Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• P.E. license is required.
• Minimum five years of civil engineering experience focusing on stormwater design.
• Land development experience in VA, PA, OH is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD or similar software.
• Knowledge of civil engineering codes and standards.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with strong initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of site‑civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring schedules, budgets and quality.
• Lead all design aspects: layout, grading, earthwork, stormwater, utilities, erosion control.
• Ensure designs meet standards and codes.
• Request and evaluate proposals from third‑party consultants and handle contracting.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with staff, clients, contractors and stakeholders.
