Job summary

Kier & Wright Civil Engineers and Surveyors in Irvine, CA seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead complex civil projects from concept through construction, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

This role combines project management, technical design oversight using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and mentorship of junior staff, with a focus on regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years land development experience with PE license.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, QSP/QSD are positives.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam required; other software a plus.
• Proven record of delivering projects and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management including scope, budget, schedule, and quality control.
• Direct design and permitting efforts across civil site projects.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and QA/QC procedures.
