Job summary

Kier + Wright is seeking a Senior Engineering Designer (Land Development) in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on independent problem solving, creating detailed civil plans, and maintaining CAD standards using AutoCAD Civil3D.

You will collaborate with project leads and engineers on on-site and off-site improvements, manage time across multiple projects, and prepare reports and calculations as required. Strong Civil3D skills and project experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and land development.
• Proficient in civil engineering design and CAD standards.
• Basic engineering calculations and reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
• Assist with the design of on-site and off-site improvements under senior staff guidance.
• Develop civil plan sets (grading, drainage, paving) in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D grading feature lines and terrain models.
• Prepare drawings per CAD standards and project specifications.
• Manage time to meet project obligations including budget, quality and schedule.
