Job summary

Golden State Water Company seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead a design team in preparing plans for drinking water capital improvements. You will manage schedules and budgets, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with DDW requirements during design and construction.

The role requires a California Professional Civil Engineer license, a minimum of six years of water infrastructure design experience, and strong communication skills to guide staff and consultants through

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college is required.
• Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in California is required; out-of-state licensure with CA reciprocity may be allowed if CA registration is achieved within 18 months.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in water infrastructure design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Leads a design team to plan and manage potable water supply, treatment, storage and distribution design projects.
• Directs site plan work, grading, storm water capture, and access to pumps and treatment systems.
• Monitors project schedules and budgets; performs quality control on design work and reviews submittals.
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders and consultants to achieve project objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
