Job summary

Platinum Global Talent Solutions Ltd. seeks a Senior Civil Engineer; Utilities for the Hudson Tunnel Project to lead utility infrastructure delivery during construction.

You will serve as SME for water, sewer, drainage, gas, electric, and telecom systems, coordinating with Amtrak, utility owners, and contractors to resolve field issues and ensure constructability. The role requires a PE license in NY/NJ (or eligibility), 10+ years of civil engineering experience focused on utilities, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Master's preferred).
• PE license in NY or NJ is required or pursued.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with emphasis on utilities and construction-phase support.
• Strong ability to resolve field issues and design changes.
• Familiarity with Amtrak, AREMA, NJDOT, NYDOT requirements.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, utility owners, and public agencies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME for utility infrastructure during construction.
• Provide technical support to field teams and resolve utility/civil issues.
• Review designs against field conditions, constructability, and constraints.
• Evaluate RFIs, submittals, field changes, and deviations.
• Coordinate with contractors, Amtrak, utility owners, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support utility coordination during construction including tie-ins and relocations.
• Contribute to drainage, grading, and corridor infrastructure as needed.
• Review shop drawings and participate in field inspections and meetings.
• Identify risks impacting cost, schedule, and constructability.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
