Giffels Webster in Detroit seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Detroit Headquarters, working on high-profile urban land development projects contributing to the revitalization of the City of Detroit. The ideal candidate will work independently on projects and collaborate with architects, developers, property owners, and real estate professionals.

You will join a team led by a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager on a variety of tasks.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree from ABET-accredited university or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience.
• Must have experience in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Site plan layout
• Geometrics
• Grading
• Pavement design
• Soil erosion and sediment control
• Utility (storm sanitary and water) design
• Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
• Traffic plans
• Details
• Record drawings and specifications
• Prepare permit applications and cost estimates
• Attend meetings
• Conduct field visits
• Perform construction administration tasks
