Job summary

Williamson County is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and perform advanced transportation, drainage, and land development projects. The role involves planning, analysis, and design, as well as helping train staff and manage budgets and schedules for multiple construction initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and extensive roadway design experience. Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Eight (8) years roadway geometric and drainage design experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and engineering development systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly advanced planning, engineering analysis and design of transportation, drainage, and land development projects.
• Assist with training and development of staff and training materials.
• Prepare PS&E and prepare reports from engineering studies.
• Oversee budgets, schedules and resource requirements for construction projects.
• Coordinate safety projects and public hearings; liaise with public and agencies.
