Job summary

EVS, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Eden Prairie, MN to lead the design and delivery of complex utility-scale solar and infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality, constructible designs.

You will drive civil design strategy, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and partner with clients and internal teams from concept through construction, guiding multiple projects with focus and clarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of civil engineering, site design, and stormwater management.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading, drainage and site layout.
• Experience with HydroCAD, Bluebeam, and QGIS is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design efforts for complex utility-scale projects with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with PMs and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Oversee preparation of engineering reports (SWPPP, Stormwater, BOD) for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide construction-phase support including RFIs, submittals, and inquiries.
• Review drawings and calculations to ensure alignment with internal standards and regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to QA/QC processes and team development.
