Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) collaborates with an established civil engineering firm in East Metro Atlanta to hire a Senior Civil Engineer. You will lead site development and infrastructure projects from concept through construction, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, 8–10 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, with strong knowledge of permitting and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8–10 years of civil engineering experience (site development/infrastructure).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes (local/state/federal).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for site development and infrastructure.
• Prepare and review plans, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Oversee project execution for quality, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulators throughout lifecycles.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Perform and review hydrologic/hydraulic analyses for stormwater systems.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and permitting requirements.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and support proposals.
