Job summary

HUSSEY GAY BELL seeks a Civil Site Engineer to plan, design and permit land development projects for both public and private clients in Georgia, with collaboration across our offices. You will engage in business development and client relationships while leading project teams.

Responsibilities include preparing calculations and reports, coordinating with owners and disciplines, and ensuring regulatory permits are secured.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• PE license in GA or ability to obtain immediately.
• 4+ years of civil site design experience in land development.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of water and stormwater modeling.

Job description

As Civil Site Engineer you will plan, design, and permit land development projects for both public and private clients. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects across Georgia and throughout our other offices, as well as engage in business development and client relationship management efforts for the division as directed by leadership.

Core Position Responsibilities:

• Apply engineering principles to create land plans and conceptual layouts
• Design land development projects to include site layout, grading, utilities and erosion control
• Prepare all necessary calculations
• Prepare technical reports and models
• Coordinate projects with Owner/Client and other disciplines as necessary to produce the project
• Identify and apply for all regulatory permits for local, state, and federal regulations and construction requirements
• Produce project plans and specifications
• Manage and communicate project schedule to achieve project milestones and deliverables
• Attend public and client meetings
• Serve as primary point of contact and project liaison to assist with the resolution of construction issues and conduct site observations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and other appropriate employees
• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• PE license in GA or ability to obtain immediately
• 4 or more years of experience in civil site design of land development projects such as residential subdivisions, multi-family developments, commercial/retail, industrial, institutional and municipal
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
• Knowledge of water and stormwater modeling
