Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager in Nashville to lead civil projects from planning through completion. The role offers ownership of projects, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work with experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license (reciprocity acceptable within 6–12 months) and has multiple years of progressive civil engineering and project leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering projects from planning through completion.

• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals.
• Review plans, specs, and technical documents.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing civil engineering projects from planning through completion
• Providing technical guidance and oversight on project design
• Coordinating with clients, contractors, municipalities, and other project stakeholders
• Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals
• Reviewing plans, specifications, and technical documents
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
• Helping identify new project opportunities and developing client relationships
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; If not in TN, must be able to obtain through reciprocity within 6-12 months
• Several years of progressive civil engineering experience
• Experience with project management and/or project leadership
• Strong technical and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work
• A desire to take the next step in their career and increase their level of responsibility
