Job summary

Civiltec Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership for civil infrastructure projects throughout Arizona. You will lead design, analysis, and delivery while mentoring teammates and building strong client relationships.

The role combines hands-on engineering with project management and client coordination, with a 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday off. Arizona PE licensure is required for this senior level position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Current Arizona PE license.
• 5–10+ years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.
• Experience with civil infrastructure projects (water/utilities/municipal/drainage/site development).
• Strong technical judgment, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with project management, client service, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design, analysis, and project delivery from concept through completion.
• Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, calculations, reports, estimates, permits, and construction documents.
• Provide technical direction, engineering judgment, and QA/QC for project deliverables.
• Direct AutoCAD Civil 3D design and production efforts for civil, water, utility, and gas pipeline projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and sign/seal documents as required.
• Lead and mentor project teams while coordinating with clients, consultants, agencies, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support project scopes, schedules, budgets, resources, client coordination, and successful delivery.
• Assist with proposals, scopes of work, fee development, technical approaches, and business development.

This isn’t your typical Project Engineer role.

About 80% of your time will be hands-on engineering and project delivery, with the other 20% focused on project management and client coordination. You’ll stay close to the technical work while using your experience to lead projects, mentor others, and build strong client relationships.

Projects may include water, utilities, natural gas pipelines, municipal infrastructure, drainage, site development, and general civil engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead civil engineering design, analysis, and project delivery from concept through completion.

• Support project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, client coordination, and successful delivery.
• Support proposals, fee development, technical approaches, presentations, and business development activities.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound engineering judgment, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality work.
• Assist with proposals, scopes of work, fee development, technical approaches, and business development activities as needed.

Job requirements
