Job summary

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois OR current registration as a Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois.
• Five years of experience in civil engineering.
• Ability to supervise the preparation of engineering plans and oversee project staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops the district's multi-year program for highway improvements and related data collection.
• Estimates project costs and coordinates with planning studies to support programming.
• Maintains accurate records for Illinois Roadway Information System and other mappings.
• Coordinates planning studies to support programming and project eligibility.
• Supervises, trains, and motivates subordinate personnel.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and promotes fair treatment of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
