Job summary

Clark Dietz, an ENR Top 500 design firm with offices across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Wisconsin, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

You will oversee projects from inception to completion, mentor staff, manage client relationships, and pursue funding opportunities while advancing the firm’s services and capabilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (M.S. desirable). IL or WI PE license required.
• 12+ years of experience in planning, design and construction of water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience with project management tasks: scope, schedule, budget.
• Experience with public sector clients and funding options (grants, SRF loans, etc.).
• Proficiency with CAD and modeling software including AutoCAD Civil 3D; Biowin, Visio, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, XP-SWMM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to clients and collaborate across offices.
• Willingness to travel to client/project sites.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages full project lifecycle for water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment projects from proposal through delivery.
• Oversees technical design and delivery including drawings, specs, permits, calculations, modeling, reports; mentors staff.
• Serves as primary client relationship manager; leads meetings and presentations.
• Provides funding assistance and grant management; identifies opportunities and prepares applications.
• Supports business development and contributes to firm reputation through papers and conferences.
