Job summary

CDM Smith is actively seeking a Senior Engineer in the United States to lead design work across civil, environmental, or mechanical disciplines, including site layouts, grading, hydraulics, and water systems. You will work with a team to ensure designs meet regulatory standards and project goals.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and about 7 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Ensures firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
• Performs site reviews and studies to align designs with location specifications.
• Updates design requirements as necessary.
• Mentors junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
