Job summary

DRMP is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (PE) to lead civil-site design across municipal and private development, including grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting. You will manage projects from feasibility through construction, coordinate with clients and agencies, and ensure compliance with local codes in Brevard County.

Candidates should have Florida PE, 7+ years' experience, and proficiency with Civil 3D and hydraulic/stormwater tools; excellent communication and project leadership are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Civil Engineering; Florida PE license required.
• 7+ years of diversified municipal and private development project experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for site and utility design.
• Experience with stormwater modeling tools ICPR4, TR-55/TR-20, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PONDS.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling tools WaterGEMS and SewerCAD.
• Knowledge of Brevard County and local municipality site development zoning requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Ability to work with clients and regulatory agencies to obtain permits.
• Budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with subcontractors and clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and calculations for public and private projects from inception to completion.
• Develop site plans for commercial/residential developments including grading and utility plans.
• Perform stormwater management design/calculations per local requirements.
• Design water systems, lift stations, and sanitary sewers for various projects.
• Prepare calculations, construction costs, reports, permits, and construction plans.
• CAD site development components to meet standards and criteria.
• Review QA/QC of tasks by others and contractor submittals.
• Analyze data and regulatory framework for feasibility of projects.
• Assist with scope of services and fee estimation.
• Prepare design and permitting schedules and perform construction observation.
