Job summary

WGI seeks a Senior Civil Engineer (PE required) with 5+ years of post‑graduation experience to join our land development team in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on municipal and land development projects for public and private clients, offering exposure to fast-paced, multi-discipline environments.

The candidate will lead design efforts, coordinate across teams and ensure quality in plans, calculations and permit docs. WGI provides a full benefits package and ongoing career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of post-graduation experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Experience with drainage design and ICPR knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs including plans, profiles, cross sections, paving, grading and utility details.
• Create engineering documents including storm water design reports, permit applications, and supporting calculations.
• Generate engineering plans using CADD.
• Perform construction quantity estimates.
• Coordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurate.
