The Senior Civil Engineer I is an experienced, mid-level engineering role responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of civil engineering projects across multiple sectors. This position is well‑suited for engineers with approximately 4-8+ years of professional experience who demonstrate strong technical judgment, the ability to manage complex design tasks, and the capability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Working with a high level of independence, the Senior Engineer I contributes to projects from concept through construction, providing technical leadership in the development of engineering designs, analyses, and deliverables. This role regularly interfaces with project managers, clients, and external partners, offering technical input, resolving design challenges, and supporting overall project execution. In addition, the Senior Engineer I plays a key role in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, supporting quality control efforts, and promoting adherence to applicable codes, standards, and best practices. The position serves as a critical step toward advanced technical leadership or future project management responsibilities.
