Job summary

Senior Civil Engineer/Technical Lead - Municipal Infrastructure at Ditesco, LLC in Fort Collins, CO, oversees civil municipal design quality and mentorship across teams. The role reviews plans, specs, and calculations as the design backbone for multiple projects within northern Colorado.

You will mentor junior engineers, set design standards, and ensure compliance with municipal criteria and regulations, supporting BD efforts and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license in Colorado (CO) required.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible civil design experience.
• Experience as a senior design reviewer or technical lead on multi‑discipline civil projects.
• Ability to mentor, train, and develop engineering staff.
• Proficiency with civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and senior design reviewer for civil municipal design projects including water, sewer, drainage, roadway, and site improvements.
• Conduct independent QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and reports at key milestones.
• Ensure designs comply with municipal criteria, regulations, and industry standards of care.
• Establish and improve design standards, checklists, CAD/drafting standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and designers; support PE licensure development.
• Provide technical direction on design approaches, constructability, and value engineering.
• Stamp and seal documents as Engineer of Record when assigned.
• Support construction phase services, including RFI review and design clarifications.
