ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics is seeking a Civil Engineer in Kalamazoo, MI to support municipal infrastructure design and delivery from planning through construction administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong experience designing and delivering municipal infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with water distribution, wastewater and sanitary sewer, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure.
• Experience with construction administration and project documentation.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory processes.
• Experience supporting project budgets, schedules, scopes, resource planning, and work plans.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design and development of municipal infrastructure projects including water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadways.
• Prepare engineering studies, preliminary and final designs, construction plans, specifications, and permitting documents.
• Develop calculations, layouts, plans, details, and documentation per engineering standards.
• Review project requirements and provide cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs meet local, state, and federal requirements.
• Coordinate project activities with project managers, engineers, surveyors, designers, technicians, contractors, and municipal representatives.
• Monitor progress, assist in staying on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain accurate project records and essential documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide engineering support during construction activities and review RFIs, submittals, pay apps, change orders.
