Job summary

The City of Oceanside, CA is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the Development Services Department's Engineering Division in capital improvement projects. The incumbent will oversee multiple projects, prepare RFQs/RFPs, cost estimates and plans, and participate in council meetings and public outreach.

Required are a California PE license, six years of civil engineering experience with supervisory responsibility, and experience across streets, utilities, parks and municipal buildings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise complex CIP projects.
• Prepare and manage RFQ/RFPs, formal bids and cost estimates.
• Review plans and ensure conformance with City, State and Federal standards.
• Attend meetings with City Council, commissions and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with private engineers, contractors and the public.
