Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Arlington, VA to lead planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects. The role offers exposure to mixed-use developments, retail centers, residential, higher education, and federal sites in a learning-focused environment.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, an active EIT, and 3+ years of relevant experience, with AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience including site planning, grading, storm water and drainage.
• U.S. citizenship is a client mandated requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil, terrain, hydrological characteristics and data impact on planning and design.
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.
